Pine Ridge Cluster WaSH Drill
The Pine Ridge neighborhood gathered for a practice drill. The WaSH station is an important component of their neighborhood's emergency cache and the drill was designed to familiarize residents with all the supplies available for water, sanitation, and hygiene in times of an emergency and/or disaster.
Pine Ridge is plotted to be out of the inundation zone. Because of their location, water sourcing will be an issue. Residents realized the importance of establishing stores of safe drinking water at their homes.
Attendees are now familiar with the inventory within the cluster's emergency supplies, they know where to locate and access WaSH supplies and how to assemble the three 2-bucket systems. They were all encouraged to attend the WaSH class to learn more specifics on water sourcing and water storage in their homes.
The Pine Ridge Cluster is one neighborhood organized under the Prepare Your Neighborhood program. To learn if you are in an organized neighborhood, or to start one in your area, contact PYN@evcnb.org.
