Part-Time Bookkeeper
Remote (Must reside in the Nehalem Bay area)
Part-time, Contractor
Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
Hours: 5 - 8 hours per week (Flexible schedule)
The Emergency Volunteer Corps of Nehalem Bay is a 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to community resilience and emergency preparedness in Manzanita, Nehalem, and Wheeler. We are an all-volunteer organization that values local expertise and community connection.
Position Overview
We are seeking a bookkeeper to manage our weekly financial records remotely. While the work is performed from your home office, candidates must be local to the Nehalem Bay area to stay connected with our community and coordinate with board members as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Weekly Transaction Management: Record and categorize all income (donations, grants) and expenses in QuickBooks Online.
Account Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations.
Accounts Receivable : Collect, deposit and record all income received by class and account
Accounts Payable: Ensure expense is budgeted, prepare checks / online payments and present to officer for signature
Data Maintenance: Ensure all digital financial records and receipts are accurately filed and up to date.
Monitor Stripe and PayPal accounts
Assist Treasurer as needed.
Required Qualifications:
Must live in the Nehalem Bay/North Tillamook County area.
Previous bookkeeping experience.
Experience in QuickBooks Online and MS Excel.
Little Green Light experience a plus
Highly organized and able to manage a 5-8 hour weekly workflow with precision.
Alignment with the EVCNB mission of "neighbors helping neighbors."
