Emergency Food Cooking Contest!
The Emergency Volunteer Corps of Nehalem Bay Emergency Food Program has exciting news!
The Top Emergency Chef Contest is returning - Mark your calendars Tuesday, February 10, 2026
Join us to find out who will be the “TOP CHEF” in the Nehalem Bay area for 2026;
Announcing a cooking contest with a twist!
On February 10 from 5-7 pm at the Pine Grove Community House, join us to see who can prepare the most delicious, nutritious, and appealing food using ONLY shelf stable foods…no heat and no water can be used. This year’s contestants are:
Mary Faith Bell, Tillamook County Commissioner,
Sargent Mike Sims of the Manzanita Police Department and
Denise Donohue, Mayor of Wheeler
They will be dishing up their creations and have them judged by local restaurateurs Eric Kammerer from Yolk and Frank Squillo of Wanda’s and the winner of the 2024 contest, Christopher Mullins – so plan on coming and get in on the fun! Snacks and beverages will be served.
Cost: $10.00 – you must pre-register (below), choose pay now or pay at the event from the drop down and the quantity (number of attendees to purchase), and click the add to cart button. Proceed to check out. You will receive a confirmation email.
This event raises funds for EVCNB to purchase emergency Go-Bags for those who are low-income in our area. We will also be auctioning off food prepared by the contestants to raise funds for Go-Bags so bring cash or checks – sorry but we cannot accept credit cards.
This event sells out every year – we expect it will again, so please register soon! Registration is limited to the first 100 people who register.
