Weekly Yellow Radio Net
Don’t forget to check-in to the Thursday EVCNB Yellow Radio Net at 6:00 on channel 119.
Join the weekly practice where Yellow Radio owners hone their communication skills. Each practice has a brief Educational Moment covering a vast array of preparedness tips, accessories, strategies to keep your radio charged when the power is out and radio techniques.
Communication is one of the most important components of emergency preparedness and response. In many emergencies, especially a major earthquake and tsunami like the anticipated Cascadia Subduction Zone event, usual communication pathways like landlines, cell phones and the internet will be unavailable.

The class covers everything from the basics of how to operate the Yellow Radio to how to communicate effectively and responsibly during an emergency.
You will be required to use a computer/laptop to access Zoom
If you do not own a Radio, you may purchase it when you register for the class. Radios will be delivered to your Nehalem Bay home the week of the class.
The radios are programmed for emergency communication within the Nehalem Bay Region.
You must be present within the Nehalem Bay Region to take the class.

Ever wonder how you would communicate in an emergency? Enroll in the Yellow Radio course to learn how. This is the place to sign up for the EVCNB Yellow Radio Class.
This Zoom class is scheduled for Saturday, August 24, 2024 from 11:00am-1:00pm. You will be required to use a computer/laptop to access Zoom. You will be contacted prior to class with the Zoom login details.
The class covers everything from the basics of how to operate the Yellow Radio to how to communicate effectively and responsibly during an emergency.
If you do not own a Radio, you may purchase it when you register for the class. Radios will be delivered to your Nehalem Bay home the week of the class. You must physically be in the Nehalem Bay area for this class since the radios are programmed for emergency communication within the Nehalem Bay Region.
The class is limited to 12 people, so please register early to ensure your seat.

A $10 non-refundable registration fee will be charged. This fee covers up to two members of your household. If the EVCNB cancels the class, your fee will be refunded.
