That is one of the first questions you’ll be asked if you call 911 for help during a fire or emergency at your home.
But what if First Responders can’t find you?
You may be in distress, confused, or medically compromised and unable to give clear directions to your residence. Perhaps your house number is too small, too far from the street, weather damaged, or obscured by vegetation. But, if you have a green reflective “911 Address Sign” at the street in front of your property, first responders won’t lose precious time having to search for your residence.
First responders can recount many examples of times they could not find the address of a person in need, or have driven to the wrong house as they search for an address. If the Fire Department goes to a wrong address, they may waste precious time backing their vehicles out of a dark, long, or narrow driveway. When a caller’s directions are not clear, or the location is in a rural or poorly lit neighborhood, a green reflective 911 Address Sign will quickly lead the responders to your location.

EVCNB is partnering with the Nehalem Bay Fire and Rescue District to help get 911 Address Signs into the hands―and onto the properties―of as many people as possible.
Choose the type of sign you want from the menu below. Sign prices range from $20 to $65. Keep in mind the visibility of your street when choosing the right sign for you. You will need to install the sign at your location; instructions will be included for you.
Please note, it will take 4 - 6 weeks for your sign to be ready. We will contact you when it is available for pick-up.
