EVCNB President in the News (April 2020)

Linda Kozlowski, EVCNB President, is featured in They were waiting for the Big One, Then coronavirus arrived. The MIT Technology Review article focuses on preparedness and asks, “Can being ready for one kind of disaster prepare you for another?”

Many of EVCNBs preparedness efforts do apply in this pandemic quarantine situation. Proper hand-washing is taught in WaSH classes. Neighbors helping neighbors, promoted by the Prepare Your Neighborhood (PYN) program, is being actively demonstrated from joint grocery runs to supportive chat groups. Following emergency food storage recommendations has resulted in fewer trips to the store.

As Linda says in the article, “We are all in this together”, and our community is better able to respond because of our individual preparedness efforts.
