Shelter and MRC Drill Results
A drill was held at the North County Recreation District (NCRD) on May 3. The NCRD is one of the EVCNB emergency shelters in the Nehalem Bay area.
The exercise scenario included a severe storm with no power, roads blocked, major flooding, no phones or cell tower availability.

Oregon State University (OSU) and the Emergency Volunteer Corps of Nehalem Bay presented the results of a disaster related study coordinated by OSU engineering staff.

Emergency Food Stocks
The Oregon Coast can be susceptible to a variety of natural disasters, which could cause us to be cut off from food, water and power for extended periods. Having enough food and water to last for at least 30 days is an important part of preparing for emergencies.
