Volunteer Opportunity: Assistant Treasurer

The Emergency Volunteer Corps of Nehalem Bay is looking for an Assistant Treasurer to join our team. This is a volunteer role with a light and predictable time commitment, roughly 5 hours per month.

If you have an eye for numbers, enjoy keeping things organized, and want to support the behind the scenes work that keeps EVCNB running, we would love to hear from you.

What the role involves

Serving as back up to the Treasurer, which includes:

  • Presenting financial reports to the Board when the Treasurer is unavailable

  • Training on QuickBooks

  • Becoming familiar with the Treasurer's duties

  • Serving as a signatory on EVCNB financial accounts

Beyond the back up role, the Assistant Treasurer also:

  • Participates in budget planning and development

  • Assists the Treasurer with review and revision of our Financial Policy as needed

  • Assists the Treasurer with the annual financial review, typically between September and November

Interested?

No prior nonprofit finance experience is required. Training and support are provided, and you will be working alongside a Treasurer who knows the ropes.
