Bayside Gardens First Community Event

The Bayside Gardens Cluster held it's first neighborhood event on September 4th. Fun events were scheduled throughout the day and enjoyed by many! They included:

  • An Evacuation Map Treasure Hunt where parents, kids and seniors hunted for clues

  • Movies for kids at St. Catherine's church

  • Neighbors learned about GoBags and a GoBag was given away in a raffle, along with other prizes

  • Ice cream was enjoyed, games were played, apples eaten and street chalk art shared

The Bayside Gardens Cluster leadership team, led by Ann O'Quinn and Josh Roberts, plans to issue a calendar for 2024 featuring pets from Nehalem Bay communities. The calendar is a fundraiser to help the neighborhood procure needed emergency supplies. Attendees voted on the pets to include; the cover goes to Bayside Gardens resident, Oreo! Congratulations!

O'Quinn said, "Overall, neighbors were indeed getting to know neighbors. What wonderful weather we were blessed with."

The Bayside Gardens team thanks Manzanita Coffee Co and Wanda's Cafe for sponsoring their Raffle.

The Bayside Gardens Cluster is the newest neighborhood organized under the Prepare Your Neighborhood program. To learn if you are in an organized neighborhood, or to start one in your area, contact PYN@evcnb.org.
