Meet Kris Campbell

EVCNB’s Board of Directors has a new member. Kris Campbell has accepted the Director position for the Community Preparedness Division; this division is most central to carrying out EVCNB’s core mission: promoting a culture of emergency preparedness. The Division offers training, organizes neighborhoods, and provides essential supplies to the community. Kris will oversee and advocate for the Prepare Your Neighborhood, Community Training, and Community Supplies programs.

Kris has been in the Nehalem Bay community since 2004. She is educated as an attorney and has 28 years of experience from The Boeing Company. She was an executive for 10 years at Boeing Commercial Airplanes and was on the leadership team for the Contracts department. She has experience in contracts, organizational development and strategic planning. She retired in 2013 and made Manzanita her full-time home in 2014. She has been the leader of the Classic Ridge Cluster in Manzanita as part of the Prepare Your Neighborhood (PYN) Program since July 2021.

Kris says, “I’m excited to be working with a leadership team again and to make a difference in the community. I’m looking forward to being the leader of something as important as community preparedness. It is literally about saving lives.”

Outgoing Community Preparedness director, Linda Kuestner, says, “I’m both happy and grateful to see Kris take on this critical role for EVCNB. She has demonstrated passion for community preparedness and brings energy and ideas that will take the division in new and exciting directions. The Nehalem Bay region will benefit from Kris’s leadership!”
